Bluehost is probably the most popular web host in the world.


All things considered, they're one of the better budget hosts, too. No big complaints, here.


I've used Bluehost since 2010. Support is great if you call after midnight, but I've had to wait 30+ minutes when calling during the day (USA mountian time - they're based out of Provo, UT). And this has happened several times throughout the years.


They know how to dumb it down for the masses. In a good way. People like me (who were rookies) could easily figure out how to do things like 1) install Wordpress 2) set up web email 3) check web email, etc, etc.

It provides an easy to use, stable platform that can be set up in minutes. They offer many different options to aid expansion, custom features and web analytics.

All Bluehost servers are solely Linux based and come with a great range of different options to keep your site running smoothly. 


Unfortunately, the virtual private server (VPS) plans are a bit higher than other budget hosts and would allow you the same basic resources (30GB of storage, 2GB of memory and up to 1TB in data transfers for the basic plan). 


There’s plenty of packages for dedicated servers too which provide you with extra memory, drive space and high data transfer.
